i hope you plan to retro cause black house gen1 lights with HID creates a beam pattern that is far beyond piss poor
those headlights were the very reason i went thru with my retrofit.

Worse than stock>? im so curious as to how blacked headligths are worse than stock since all that is changed is the housing cover and not the reflector..

I painted the factory headlights and the light output didn't change at all, plus they are much easier to adjust from what I've heard. It's a bit more work than just buying the aftermarket ones, but worth it IMO.

The light output is slightly worse, but in my case it wasnt something I couldnt live with. The angling adjustment is the same, so i dont know how its more difficult. You will notice however that the durability of the angling screws is not very good, but my stock ones were broken as well so i dont think that is a huge factor. The beam pattern will just be a little spottier, that is the only real difference.

^^^ I may have described that wrong. I didn't mean the adjustment is easier on OEM headlights, but I've heard they break less easily. Regardless, either way you go I'm sure it will be fine. Personally, I don't think the light output or durablity on the OEM headlights is that good anyways.
