for labor it really isnt that bad... and if people have the cash and dont want to waste their time spending hours and hours on something that looks like an amateur crap job in the end, it really isnt a terrible price...

Ill have to see the beam pattern, then maybe ill rock some ;)

To clear up any questions floating around

I DID NOT RETRO THIS MYSELF
IZN TRBL did the retro for me!!

Now
The projectors used were FX35 projectors. My set has been color modded for a blue cutoff
I do not have the headlights in my posession right now but when I get them I will post beam pattern pix
The same guy that did the camry retro did my retro as well.. so that cutoff is a good indication of what mine will look like
Link here -->http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=37043
I dont think the price for these was out of reason, Ive gotten quotes around 1500 before for way less quality than this.
I will also be rocking CCFL Angel Eyes probably the first solara to have CCFL retro projector on gen1 bixenon :D
The bulbs used are d2s bulbs you MUST USE d2s bulb, you CANNOT use your existing H4. IZN TRBL Is kind enough to provide a harness which will utilize the existing ballast on your HID kit to power the d2s bulb...
For anyone who has BiXenon like me, you wont need your high beam ballasts, as your low beam ballasts and stock plugs is all you need to power the BiXenon feature of the retro using their ingeneous BiXenon wiring harness.

Hope that clarifies everything =]

so since it requires d2s hids, that means the hids we have now are usless minus the fact we can use our exisiting hid ballasts. that would mean we have an extra set of ballasts floating around if we purchase this "kit" ?

The way I purchased it, I opted that I had my own HID kit already, they just included the adapters and bulbs for me, so there are no extra ballasts. If you dont have an HID kit they will offer one at additional cost.

That is absolutely correct though you CANNOT use h4 in a projector retro. Basically it has to use whatever the original bulb was in this case D2S. Someone told me once they have adapter plates so u can use the h4 bulb in the projector but not only is this info incorrect ( never seen it before ) but if such a device existed it would be dangerous ( bulbs arent same size ).

gotcha. so basically with my hids (h4s) nothing can be used but the exisisting ballasts? but they'll include ones anyways since i have to tell them on their site that I DONT have Hids right?

No, you tell them you DO have HID already so that all you have to use is the wire adapter ( that goes from your ballast to the new d2s bulb ) and save you some money. The d2s bulb is automatically provided REGARDLESS.
Unless you want them to send you a whole HID kit to replace your existing kit.
