Windshield

Postby tiredolddog » Tue Jul 08, 2003 10:06 am

Jen,

I was following a dump truck the other day when I noticed he was dropping gravel on the highway. I slowwed hard to put some distance between me and the truck and to try to avoid the bouncing stones.... just when I thought I was in the clear... I took one in the front and broke my plastic license plate shield.

Ah well.... the joys of a new car.

Regards,

Chuck

Sorry to hear... are you going to replace it or take off the plastic part?
In PA we don't need front licnese plates (but I have a Pitt one on my Explorer) none on my Solara but am thinking about something like this -- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33643&item=2422830036 What do you think, would it look good on Sammy?
You see I am afraid that if I put it on then years down the road (because Toyota's last long) if I take it off then I will always have 2 open holes in my bumper... so I dont know! But it looks really cool. Does anyone else have something like that on their Solara?

I paid 50 for mine the girl waived half my deductible I don't know why but I wasn't gonna argue mine doesn't seem tinted at all when it was first put on it seemed like it wasn't even there it was that clear it was probally aftermarket I didn't really care as long as there was no more chip in front of me
