On a whim, I stoped into a few auto parts stores today. What a load of crap they are trying to sell people to upgrade their rides. One of my favorite items this huge (5" diameter) exhaust pipe tip with LEDs inside it. It was a licensed The Fast and the Furious product. This thing must have weighed 5 pounds. That's what I want on my car. A 5 pound exhaust tip that does nothing for performance..... Hello???!!!!!

Also, love those LED winshield washer nozzles. They must add 5 HP each!!!

What is your favorite piece of crap?

yeah, it seems like every place that sells car stuff has a "ricer" aisle....i always gotta take a peek to see what kinda stuff they come up with. the muffler is pretty over the top though..nothing says class and performance like a 9-color led stobe muffler!

Heh, I don't generally like to judge style, but those stupid wheel LED's have to go. Talk about distracting to be behind, or next to. I have no problems with people lighting their cars up like Christmas trees, but OMG flashing lights are just obnoxious to other drivers.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

my fav is NOS brand seat covers and floor mats!! that's gotta add some HP to the car!

i'm also a big fan of the lighted exhaust tip aka, The Afterburner! when the product came out about a year ago, they actually had radio ads for it!

instead of a light-up muffler, shouldn't those civics and other assorted cheap riced out cars put lights on the FRONT of their rides so we can enjoy the lights as we pass them by?

indiglo pedals...

my interpretation of those is that if a person is too dumb to distinguish brake from gas to clutch (in some cases) and needs a light to illuminate the pedals, that person does not deserve to drive at all.

Have you driven the new one's...the new civics are pretty nice! (although i wouldn't buy one)...but they have come a lot way from being called cheap...same goes for corolla...a nice loaded one will cost you 18K....that by no means is cheap!

nope..sure haven't driven a civic. but when i say cheap, i mean that relative to the quality of a solara. what im talking about are the kind of cars that typify the ricer image or the fast and the furious image, not the lexus-esque style of our cars
