Thought I might as well throw this out there, I wanted to buy a TRD muffler for my Gen 2, if anyone is willing to part with their used one. I wanna do a local deal if at all possible. I'm in Irvine, SoCal. Lemme know, many thanks. Happy new years, too.

Your best bet is to keep googling the part # for the muffler till something comes up on ebay or something..otherwise you're gonna pay no less than $400 shipped anywhere else. Or you can look into a universal setup like a few of us have.

I myself have a Magnaflow street series (spent $150 installed)
Van (iinokturnalii) has Borla
Mike (articfrost) USED to have a completely custom dual exhaust loll

and i think theres a few others with Flowmasters and whatnot, I'm sure they'll chime in.

TRD exhaust is nice if you want direct bolt on. I had it on my car for a lil while and enjoyed it very much. I think I sold my used TRD exhaust for like $250 or something like that, I can't remember exactly.

I can get a new one at a decent discount if you need, let me know.

To agree with dvdchris, Magnaflow is an awesome choice. Just my .02. GL with your search.

Michael, your memory is good. $250 was the best deal I found for a used TRD muffler. :D I love the sound but my wife complains its too loud. Good for me she doesn't ride with me too often. With your install tip it went on in about 15 minutes.

bjkim88 - If you haven't seen one installed, I take the 5 through Irvine 10 times each week and would be happy to meet you to let you take a look/listen.

Bump.

Thanks strapped. When I'm not as busy with school, maybe I'll take you up on your offer.

Maybe when I get my door fixed too. I parked my car in the university lot 2 days ago at 2:00, come back at 8:00, and my door is dented in and the paint's all good and gone. My guess is that some person tried to park, failed, and did the good ol' hit n run.

Haven't gotten a response back from Mike yet. ;.;

I know several of you have pmed me and I'm sorry, I'm waiting for the parts manager to get back with me about pricing.

I'll try him again later today.

Thanks,
Michael
