does anyone here have aftermarket racing seats?
i've been tossing the idea around, but i wasn't sure if they'd mount neatly or if i'd have to 'engineer' something!
i had in mind these corbeau's, any thoughts?

What color is your ride? Are you going to match it with your new seats?

my car is silver/charcoal. yeah, i'd either get the black or the gray. the black will match better IMO.
as of now this is still just a thought, just tryin to get some opinions.

I think the black majority with silver around the edges would look really nice... especially since I have Lunar Mist (silver)/black charcoal in my car so I can relate.
I would go for it, if I was you!

I believe someone at SC3 has corbeau seats w/ custom beige leather. 8)

I would love to get some racing seats but none would match my interior,
so I just keep it like it is.

DavPak, I would recommend Bride since u got nice jdm rims.

that's also in my future plans. but definitely something that's last on the list of mods. i was lookin' into getting blue tenzo rally style seats or sparco's, and i was going to just get a nice seat cover for the back seats so they match.

btw, are they any companies that make brackets for our car to fit these seats in?

I voted Racing Seats but it also should depend on what you feel comfortable in... because we all know how important that is

http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/prosport.shtml

I have Corbeau Pro Sport for my driver's side.

Image

The stock seat doesn't give me enough back and bolster support and makes me sooo tired while driving. Also, I slide around in the leather seat when I corner. I hate driving on the leather seat.

Now I can take corners hard and fast with the new seat. :D

For pictures, go here:
http://members.shaw.ca/impactx/Solara/

The seat is a side-mounted seat... I order a bottom-mounted bracket, so I have to customize the bracket by using 4 L-brackets to make it fit. Yeah those silver brackets look ghetto... My plan is to spraypaint them tomorrow.

One more thing, the Corbeau bracket may not fit perfectly. You may need to file the bolt holes bigger.
