When i was in wisconsin, i bought fog-sponge...its a basic sponge with some fibers by the end..to absorbe condensation...essentially..once in two months..i just wipe it with that...and i'm pretty much fog free! Do you guys play with the vents...to get the fog off...rather than using a/c...try heat!

It always clears up just the same... except that I'm sure most would prefer the A/C over heat hehehe... I just turn it on the highest setting for like 5 seconds, and the fog is completely gone.

does anyone notice that if you turn the controls to the winshield defogger, the a/c (compresor) turns itself on automatically, regardless of whether you have the a/c button activated or not. i guess it has to be this way, since the only way you can remove the fog is with dry air, and the compressor removes the moisture.

I tell you what, our Avalon is the worst with fog/condensation. My wife and I took my brother and his wife up to a Devils game in January - and with us 4 talking in the car the windows fogged up and wouldn't clear.

That's the ONE thing I really dislike about the Avalon...
(it's a 96, granted, but SO annoying)

The best way os "open ur window, open AC and use COLD air" it's faster than using heat

if you guys have an air freshener, that could be it. rain-x does work very well to clear it up.

of course. if the compressor wasnt on, blowing the moist air on your windshield may even make it worse instead of helpin. toyota was clever for including this feautre, becuase most people think its just the air blowing that defogs your window, but its really needs to be cold, dry air

Why hasn't anyone mentioned that if the ventilation system is set on recirculate the interior will fog up? Make sure the little arrow is coming from the outside, not the inside.

not necessarily. the thing that causes fog is when the air inside the car is warmer and more humid than the air outside of the car. it helps some if you have fresh air coming from outside, but then you are just making your a/c compressor work harder
