Postby Mr_Chunkz » Wed Feb 06, 2008 7:44 pm

Comments bombarded me from every which direction...
" So youre headlight ISNT HID anymore? "
Its because I have a stock FX 4300k bulb compared to my 8000k fog they look amber.

Well.. last night I cracked and ordered some 6000k d2s Phillips Utiliton(sp?) bulbs. Hoowah.

It would be awsome if they can make a clear lence with lexan for the gen1 fogs.
Im sure that lots of guys here would like to buy clear lenses also (me too), so they would produce more than for 1 pair of fog.

no??

fugg that. I thought the price included new oem headlights too! That price is way too damn high without including the headlights.

id rather have paid this high price

ive seen plenty of newbies try first time on retrofitting and they turn out great.
Example: sleepersolara
he's new to it but he's shown us up-to-date stuff and they are lookin' real good.

JUST ADMIT, YOU'RE LAZY! ;)

save that money and get a KIT!!!!!!
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

Does your 4300K look more "cold" (less amber) then halogen bulb? and of Silverstar?

Your 6000K seems great, I tough it would look more "blue" (I dislike when it looks too much blue)

great retrofit, Im jealous

Yes the 4300k itself looks marginally less amber than halogen or silverstar, however, the beam out of the 4300k looks WAY less amber. I went with 6000k with the promise that in my projector it would appear pure white, and it sure does.
