I replaced my OEM's with 9003 Sylvania Silverstars. I am not sure about the real differences in 9006 Sylvania Cool Blue and 9006 Sylvania Silverstars. (yeah, i'm talking about the fog's). I used the search button and saw the pic that ryan posted a while back and i liked his combo (silver for head and cool blue for the fogs). Does anyone have a pic' of silverstars for both head&fogs?...at nighttime....(for those who are going to tell me to do my research on the web..this is what i came up with)...but i wanted to make my decision based on solara pic's than some charts! Also, i'm not fan of Yellow fog's on non lexus cars. SO if any of you guys/gals have other suggestions..would love to hear from you all....

You won't be able to tell as big of a difference with just the fog lights, however you should notice a fairly drastic change to your low-beams. The cool blue bulbs aren't really worth the money if you're trying to upgrade. I'd just go for the silverstars.

well, besides the small color difference (as indicated by the color temperatures in that chart) the cool blues should last longer since they don't burn as hot and bright. but if your main concern is for looks, then yeah, id try and find some pics to compare. good luck.

Those are pretty good pics. Very convincing enough for me to save those hundreds of dollars on an HID kit and just buy the bulbs. Are they good quality and do they have a brighter intensity than stock? Stock is just too weak, like I might as well be driving with them off.

Sounds good, but do you know how good they'll fare with the DRL on? Or maybe I could turn it off, but from what I read it aint no easy task.

turning the DRLs off is a way easy task, search around, ull find a pic or two as well. just unplug the grey connector in the back left corner of your engine bay.

Alright, so if I get the sets of silverstars, they will work fine with DRL off. Now to search for DRL off threads. I looked around the engine bay, found like 1 or 2 different fuses for DRL. 1 big square gray one, and a little normal looking fuse in the bigger tray where most of the fuses are. The big gray one was in a little tray with 2 other big square fuses.

Is this right? And what is the life expectancy of these bulbs with DRL off and with DRL on?

They are Street legal bulbs that don't run warm! meaning, they are not of higher wattage leading to premature wear..or burns! I'd say they should last you good few years, BUT, there are people over at SC3 who were unhappy as they wore their out within their first year!

Alright, thanks for the info. I think I'm gonna go ahead and pick up 2 pairs for headlights and fogs. Thanks.
