2004 Solara On The Way, Any Takers?

Production of 2004 Solara started July 7/03.

With the new style, more powerful engine, 5speed auto, nicer interior and at about the same price it will be very tempting to trade in 99-2001 Solaras. Trading in the 2002-2003, you would take a big $$$$ hit.
Any of you planning on going for the 2004?

i doubt it. i love the interior, and the front is pretty nice too, as is the engine and transmission. i also like how the wheels fill up the wheel wells compeltely, so the car looks lower and more solid. our solaras have the fender gaps that dont look very good. BUT the rear end is just ugly. i dont think that part will grow on me

It's out of proportion with the wheel + tire size.

It won't grow on me when I have a better looking one

alot of people have been clowning on this car. but if you look at it compared to alot of other cars out there like the new echo, the focus and other type its not that bid looking even tho i do agree out 1st gen and 1. gen does look nicer.

Im sure that there is going to be alot of ppls going wow... and would buy it.. like the older people.

It kind of looks like one of those futuristic cars you know that hover or fly? I am pissed my Solara can't fly but I think the `04 model is butt ugly! :-?

ok that's fair actually. im guessing ur looking for hardcore sport car and performance, and ur right, nothing in toyota or lexus delivers that. but to me its worth the trade-off

So is the 02 ugly too? Cuz the 02 and 03 are the same... And If that is so than you think the 99-01 are ugly as well due to the fact that they are essentially the same...so overall you think all Solaras are UGLY, making me ask the question: Why do you own one?
