does anyone know how to make the automatic climate control not switch to outside air on its own? the air in So. cal is very nasty and i hate it when i leave my a/c on auto and it switches to outside air on its own, many times when im foloowing someone with a smelly exhaust......anyone know how to disable it? the people at the dealer either don;t know how to or won't tell me how to get rid of it.....

Its the same for lexus..either leave it really cold for it to switch off..or have make it a habbit of manually switching off the vent when you lower/touch your temp guages...stays the same, unless you play with your temp guage again!

i still don't understand the auto climate control....like the auto button and what setting it's on...or like turning the defroster off. you press the button to turn it off and the regular vent goes on so then you have to press the off button for the vents even though they were never suppose to be on in the first place...i don't know what i'm talking bout...

all i know is that I just press a whole bunch of buttons till it's right!

Actually what you just said..made perfect sence..You are right, it entails pressing a few buttons till its 'right'. Keeping in mind you don't tweek with the system again..or you might have to 'turn off the vent again'! I remember when i didn't have climate control, i complained..on my Es I complained that i had it...now on my solara..i complain that i don't have it...I guess i'm never satisfied!
