man the more i hear about the deals, the more i cant wait til this semester is over. but as far as bidding, since im not licesnsed, i can go to the show, but hte guy im with has to do the bidding right? im not exactly sure how all of this works

Depends of where you are at: I know at some auctions, you need a license to get in (on the auction day). At others you need the license number as soon as auction ends (doesn't matter who's bidding). So if I were you, i'd just go and see there for a few days (knowing NOT to bid) just to get the feel...before you feel confident you'll call a good deal!
