Little Teaser of the Gen2 (Posh's Ride)

First of all, the cross drilled rotor you pictured has nothing to do with it. And second, Stoptech is pretty retarded if they think that is the way slotted rotors go on cars. If you know why there are slotted rotors, then you would easily be able to look at them and tell which wheel they should go on.

^ its dependent on the vanes inside the rotor, not the exterior slots... and FYI- my brembos are mounted the same way as per brembo's instructions

Its all about the internal vanes, not the slots... I thought how you think too when i went to install my brembos, but after reading the instructions I understood.

And I can assure you that a name like stoptech is not "retarded..."

Aren't the slots that way to "pull" the dust and heat pockets "out", as opposed to to the other way which would pull it in and clog the slots?

I'm not sure on them. Just wondering if that is how it works.

the brakes go the right way. go do some research and learn.

I've probably done more research on brake systems in whole than 98% of people on this forum. I just didn't know about the direction of the internal fins on Stoptech brakes.

Anyways, does anyone know why the slots are shaped that way?

Here is the answer for anyone wondering.

"Image

It is very important, when slotting rotors, to machine the slots in the opposite direction to the internal vanes. Slotting rotors parallel to the internal vanes will weaken them and may result in catastrophic failure. Surprisingly, many slotted rotors, particularly those sold on eBay, have slots running in the wrong direction and some are even slotted all the way to the outside edge, further weakening the rotor. These rotors should be avoided."
