J.D. Power and Associates Study

Just read a fascinating study from J.D. Power and Associates. The 2003 Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS).

The 2003 Vehicle Dependability Study is based on responses from more than 55,000 original owners of 2000 model-year cars and light trucks.

http://www.jdpower.com/news/releases/pr ... ID=2003050

And the winner for Premium Midsize Car is:

Highest ranked: Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry/Camry Solara, Buick Century.

I can always pick a winner :D

Eleven Lexus/Toyotas in the top 51 vehicles. [/b]

:smilecolros: Toyota Quality! :smilecolros:

I always had no probs with engine/trans, but usually I have small probs, like with plastic trim pieces. Right now, I'm dealing with the driver side visor. The plastic pieces that hold the top part up broke. Now I can't put my visor down. :x

Hah...these cars serve a purpose...it's so funny when I see people talking about how "these cars aren't performers"...um...DUH. They weren't MEANT to be performers, they were meant to be RELIABLE. It's just funny that so many people out there think that they can make ANY car into a sports car. :) This report should be slammed in front of every single one of them.

exactly...it illustrates the point that when you buy a car, you're not just paying for the performance stats it puts up (0-60, 1/4 mile) but you're paying for a long term investment, quality, and the money you save on repairs. we have a very well-rounded car...good lookin, pretty quick, and exteremely reliable

I had a similar problem, on both visors! the passenger side vanity mirror fell out, and then a few months later, the driver side visor came unattached. but i think my engine will fare a little better 8)

Im so glad you guys got that report on here and i had a chance to read it, i mean there is this one kid that i go to class with, the kid is so into hondas, i mean the numbers and times he comes up with are ridicoulous...he told me he thinks his 2001 civic dx auto will run a 15.4 in the 1/4, i just laughed in his face and told him how d umb he is...then he changes his stories every single week, oh well honda this honda that, hondas in japan do this, im like man we are in the US of A not japan, dont give me stats on that stuff...anyways, he tried to tell me that no toyotas will go over 200,000 miles, i just laughed at him again, he said how reliable hondas are, f unny thing is there are 13 toyota products in that list and 6 honda products...the kid reads too many magazines and too much foreign crap and always wants to change his mind about something else...u guys would laugh at some of the stuff...oh the best part is he talks about his hubcaps that he bought, just funny stuff like that...
Goodbye solara, loved you while i had you :( now into my bros hands, and hello Spec V...BYE BYE SpecV HELLO 04 Maxima ;)
