If they could do something with that back end, that would be one sexy BI&*H. Maybe the spoiler will be a little more than a lip and add something agressive to the styling.

Thing that gets me right away is the color beige = boring, unexciting, suited for seniors.
Toyota says they want to apeal more to the youth(gen x and y).
Why doesn't the car come with 5-speed manual V6?
I would like to see the 4.3 V8 in the Solara with a manual tranny, rear drive, then I might buy the car.

hey guys, jus stumbled upon this. scroll up to those two pictures and put your thumb over the trunk area, so you cover about half of the back end. once uve blocked that off, ull see that it looks very, very similar to the newest gen camrys. its only the backend thats different. give it a try

Ok, someone needs to stop sniffin glue. That does not look anything similar to a 350Z. The backside actually looks like a longer and uglier version of the SC430. And the interior looks like the Altima interior but with wood-trim.

From the pictures at the Toyota.com site the red Solara looked decent. Now lookin at these pictures, it is very ugly. But who knows, it could still grow on us current Solara owners, or maybe not.

Its' really a shame that it's SO ugly. From just reading the article it sounds awesome and like a major improvement (except for the loss of Manual Tranny) and the interior I like much more...but everything else is sooo...yuck

I love the interior! Much better seats than we have. Overall, the interior is way better than ours but the exterior design is just a wreck. This is another reason why people shouldn't take drugs. Look what those designers (on drugs) did to the new Solara!
