Sorry Tracy - I was being a dick. :roll:

I thought the newer Canon Elphs had the shutter/aperture priority controls like the S5 IS has. It doesn't, so you're stuck with the "dummy" controls they chose for you.

Plus as you said, you took it out of the box and shot with it.

Good luck with the manual - I read it and since it's not a DSLR with manual controls, I'm totally lost when they refer to silly icons for settings and options. :-?

I played with the controls a bit today
Seems the only settins are ISO Setting, White balance, color adjustment, face detect on/off, brightness. Unfortunately ISO really f.ucks with image quality and produces a wonderful staticy film over the image :evil:
This was cured with a little post-shot editing.

sexy dude, my ideal perfect solara would be like yours except with blacked out tail lights, a minor body kit and purely black rims with not trim on the body of the car. So basically all 100% black, like a ninja
