Any advice on how to get that ugly nameplate the dealer slaps on their cars off? I tried WD-40, and it worked pretty well, but it left some adhesive still... can that be cleaned up? Also, does everyone else's fog lights turn off when you put your high beams on? Or am I the only one with that "priviledge?"

Fog lights off w/ high beams is standard.

Try a little masking tape to lift the excess adhesive. Basically using the tape to pull the other tape off. Worked for me.

If normal scrubbing doesn't get the stupid tape off...

just use some GOO-GONE... it costs a few bucks and you can find it at the local drug store (rite aid, longs, walgreens, etc etc). You may have to wax that area afterward.

At the risk of sounding like a complete loser (well, actually I know I'm gonna sound dumb) but how do you register to be a user? I can't seem to find a link to do so.

Thanks!

No not really, I have CarMax warranty on my lexus...its been very nice and SAFE for me, they have spent close to 1400 for my car alredy (and i've paid 1200for the warr. when it got it 3 years ago). I guess it depends on who you call 3rd party...has to be 'well established'.

I wouldn't change it..I know a lotta people who have gotten tickets for having their high beams and fogs on at the same time.

Humm..I'm glad my dealer only put ugly license plate frames on my car. the only badge I've ever seen that I've like is Kelly Infiniti/Honda/Nissan..etc, etc in Danvers, Ma. They put a small, silver, cursive lettering "kelly" on the back. Although, It would still suck unless your name was kelly

Damn where you live gal..I've probably used high beams on my celica for like total of 3 times (of 80K miles ownership)....and i've yet to be ticketed...but u could be right...if you live in a area where you use a lot of your high beams..then i'd suggest you to just swith your fog's off (like oem switching em off). Bad a$$ note is when your car alarm goes off..your fog's light up as well (ie. if you left your fogs' to the on position).

I was able to get the extra adhesive off last night with some stuff called "Gunk" Tar and Bug remover. No scratches, no discoloration.... it worked well on the road crap that I've picked up too.... it's prolly an easier way to take off any emblems as well

I was thinking the same thing. i hardly ever use my high beams. any ideas on what the law is if you have the fog lights on with just parking lights, or just fogs on by themselves?
