My passenger seat sounds like a maraca when no one is sitting in it. I can literally see the thing shake. Also, the seat dosent stay forward when someone needs to get into the back seat, really annoying! Cant find the problem. Bah!

i had trouble with my passenger seat, the rail was actually one of the things that was rattling, but we took to the dealership, they replaced the seat railing, and since then it slides up when its supposed to and stays up. the spring holding the seat forward is pretty strong, but if ur on a steep hill it probably will slide back regardless....

That noise

My experience with my '00 Solara:

The seatbealt anchor would squeek and buzz, a shot of silicon and it's gone.
For the person with the buzz coming from the rear driver side window, remove the quarter panel, it's easy to do and check that the dust sheet, the plastic thats sealed over the internal frame, is sealed tight. While your there you can check to see if the inside quarter panel plastic has any wear marks from rubbing.
To pull the quarter panel
1. remove the seatback, there are a few bolts, including the seatbelt.
2. lift the bench up and remove, lift from the front.
remove the screws and bolts from the quarter panel and carefully pop the pins that hold it in place, lifting upwards. Be sure to remove all the screws and bolts.
good luck
