is there suppose to be that much space in between the adapter and the knock sensor itself?

According to this --> http://www.findonefindall.com/toyota-si ... sensor.htm

It's the one nearest towards the radiator.

Someone else needs to chime in though.

I think since bank 1 is the side with out cyl 1, and cyl 1 is located on the side near the radiator...so...

so bank 2 should be the one near the Radiator...

i tried to go onto that website but it always says that it has a problem loading the page. i do remember reading that website and it having a picture of which knock sensor correlates to p0330 code. if someone who can access that website and copy and paste that one picture on, that would be great. i cant fall asleep..i have this knack for wanting to finish this project up.

"I am reliably informed that parts closest to the flywheel are numbered first. (1, then 2 etc.) Thus knock sensor #1 is closest to the flywheel as numbered above. P0330 = Knock Sensor #2 P0325 = Knock Sensor #1. "

I have the same problem. I connect sensor 1 with sensor 2.
(So i have no error now)

But when my valves must be adjust and i have to lift my s/c i will repair it.

Why is your knocksensor broken and what type/brand knocksensor do you use now?
Are new Toyota sensors stronger?

to confirm, sensor 2 is the one that often blows due to lack of fuel and the subsequent knocking on the rear bank (which is the radiator side) on the gen4s

^ that article is simply saying that if you have knock, address it with tuning before you replace the sensor. Th ATS sensors will be fine as long as you have a safe tune. Thats my opinion anyway...

I read that a knock from a Camry sounds different then a GM car.
So thats why it don't get killed and the worst thing ..it will not detect a knock.

It just like ears:

Your ear can hear 20 Hz to 20.000 Hz tones.

when you run a 10.000Hz tone on 10 decibel you will hear it, because tympanic membrane will resonate.
But when you put the tone on 200 decibel it will kill your ear, because the tympanic membrane will resonate so strong it will rip.
similar like a Camry knock sensor

when you run a 1hz or 30.000Hz tone on 200 decibel your tympanic membrane will not resonate and you can not detect it and it will not rip your ear.

Like the GM sensor will not detect the knock because it is not made for that range and will not be killed because it not resonate by a knock.

so whe must have a knock senor that detect in the right range and is stronger build so it will hold with a stronger knock. (Ofcourse no knocks is mutch better)

Am i right????
