Before I got my Solara, I played Forza 1 with he I4 Gen 2 Solara turboed. In fact would be a great idea to do it on a manual Gen 2 I4. The E351 tranny share a lot of parts with the E153 tranny...mad props ofr your car and your future projects !!

thanks. i really want to hit 300 hp but i think i will probably achieve that in the next couple of months. the 2az motor is actually a really good motor to build on, since there aftermarket pistons, rods, etc...

ya it would be nice to see gen 2 owners start boosting their car

Hey, tacti just turboed his Gen2 auto 2AZ... I wanted to go high compression, but with those high HP and HIGHER Tq #'s I will probably go turbo.

BTW, did you sort out the problems with wastegate? What PSI were u planning to run on and did you change pistons, rods, etc?

ya tacti is somewhat following my footsteps. im super glad he finally boosted w/ me. yes i recently just readjusted my wastegate. as of right now im looking into getting a boost controller or get a whole new turbo setup. gonna start saving up to sleeve the block, change the pistions and rods.

I'm glad you guys paved the road...

Regarding wastegate, your numbers were pretty impressive before, can't imagine what they would be after (no dyno)?
If you are changing pistons and sleeving that means ur running stock internals, right? Could I ask what setup r you running now? I think there are 9.0:1 pistons for our engines; I like since it keeps the off-boost performance as much as possible.

BTW, your car looks awesome! Keep up the good work!

im currently running

greddy turbo kit.
18g turbo
intercooler, pipings, 550 injectors, emanage blue w/ pnp harness, and hks bov.

i want to sell this setup and go beyond this point right now.

as far as what new management system that im going to run, it is going to be the aem standalone

^ Richard, ever thought about droppin a 2JZ-GTE under the hood instead? That's probably too much work than what you wanted to do, but it would be sick.

lol ur talking like a newbie now =X. that's a little out of my league to try to do that. parts and labor to just do the swap is insane but do-able. if you want u can donate me some cash to start the project =)
