I was looking online for silverstars, and didn't recognize what a "Sealed beam" was. Can anyone explain or at least say if thats what a solara needs?

from FAQ:

What Headlight bulb does the solara use?
The 1999-2001 Solara uses a dual filament H4 (9003) bulb for high and low beams. The fogs are 9006
The 2002-2003 Solara uses 9006 for low beams and 9005 for high beams

Sealed beams are not us solara guys...its like for us old celica guys...and old camry guys..basically you change the whole lighting unit, not just the bulb!

before plastic covered every square inch of a car, you didn't have plastic headlight housings. A sealed beam was a glass surrounding with a bulb inside of it. When a sealed beam went bad, you replaced the whole unit. Most cars use halogen bulbs or H.I.D systems
