"Tabasco" dyno session 4/22/08

It's been awhile since I've last been on this site. Funny how life changes quickly when you get married.

Change for the best of course.

I still get private messages every once and awhile about tabasco's set up. I must say it took a lot of sweat, tears, and patience to get this car where its at now. Last set up had a lot of top end power but was a complete slug off the line. This new set up for 08 boasts more power on low-mid range and is more responsive on the street. I'll see if I can post the dyno picture for before and after. The difference in the power curve is amazing!

I hope everyone is doing well. Glad to see others making great strides with their Solaras and keep up the good work. I hope to see you guys some day at our Mid-Atlantic meets.

What are the parts you change regarding your engine internals ? and where you got them ?

Thanks bro. I used to run Wiseco pistons on stock rods when I was running high boost on the s/c. Stock rods blew BTW at around 18psi when were testing the T66 on manual boost controller.

tabasco now has Arias pistons and eagle rods that were modified by Stoid Racing. Unfortunately, someone in these forums had bad luck with Stoid and I'm not sure if they're still in business.

I read something regarding the 1MZ rods on TN by Oteck (a MR2 guy with the 3Mz swap) that the 1MZ rods are the exact samething as the 3MZ. If you 1MZ rod break only at 18 PSIg...any low boost application say 8PSIg or less will be able to stand with the 3MZ isn't it ?

I'll take a look to those names Wiseco, Arias and Eagle.
