About a few days ago I noticed as I climb to about 60-80mph in my 2002 Solara the steering wheel vibrates and shakes... I recently fixed a slow leak in the front left wheel with Tire Jack because it was an emergency...would this have anything to do with it? I called my dealer and they said my tires need to be balanced...any thoughts?

Try balancing 1st, and see.

Before you go in for a balancing, check to make sure your wheel lugs are torqued down tight to spec. 76 ft/lbs if youve got a torque wrench handy.

is tire jack kind of like Fix-A-Flat? where it uses some kind of sticky gunk to clog up the leaks? if so, that sounds like it could be causing some imbalances in that tire. I'd definitely try balancing. good luck!

First off if its anything like Fix a Flat, you need to get your tires CLEANED from the inside...so that goo is gone before you balance your wheels.
