SEE!! This is why I HATE valet'n my car!!! :evil:

Yesterday my boss, my coworker, and I went to lunch @ the Moana Surfrider(It's a hotel in Waikiki for all you mainland peeps =0P) And I had to drive since my boss's car is in the shop. We had to valet because they don't have self park and there is pretty much no street parking in Waikiki. Anyways when I left my car with the valet it was fine, music turned down low cause I don't want them screwing with my stuff. When it was returned to me, as the valet was pulling up I hear him blasting the stereo. Then as I get in the car and start to drive away I notice my deck is flipped downward and not responding nor operational at all!!! Also, my DVD player was unplugged!!! I was like WTF!!! So I pulled over and my boss asked who touched my car, the two valets who drove my car to and from denied touching it. Then the second one who drove it from admitting to touching it, he goes "oh, I was trying to turn the music down so I thought I touched the volume button, but I didn't break it"

OMG I wanted to body slam his a$$!!! We went back to the hotel today to file the report and looks like they're gonna give me $$$ to buy a new one...damn right!!! I swear...why peeps gotta mess with my crap for???

Damn those valet people, they dont have any respect. Your story reminded me of that scene of the two valet guys in "Ferris Buellers Day Off," I doubt they went joy riding in your phat Solara though. :wink:

bummer... being a valet boy must suck.

being a victim of valet abuse is worse. at least you are getting some money to fix your stereo

I work as a valet parker for my weekends. I've been through a lot of people complaining that their a/c was turned on. Blah Blah...We go through a lot of people complaining...Some of their requests are genuine..but some aren't. My worst thing was this rx300 lady who was like..you guys should learn to drive with more respect. (keeping in mind i took this lady's car and brought it back)....I told he i drive it like it was my car (and i've never stolen anything..or drove a car really hard)...she was like..yeah, but you don't drive a lexus...I kept my mouth shut - cus the customer is always right - but the other valet parked shouted back at her...he does..and she was like whatever...
Point being: don't down the profession, down those guys who bring a bad rap to this profession! Yeah, i've seen a few guys trying burnouts and stuff..but the end of the night they didn't get paid..and were told not to come back! I valet park my own car sometimes....just hoping here's that the person who drives my car cares as much as i do.... :drinking:

Yeah, there are good valets that do their job right-get a tip. Then there are thes a$$ho*s that screw it for all the good ones. I never valet if I can avoid it.
Sorry to hear about your hassle but at least you complained and the Sh^% will roll down to those guys that messed with your stuff

Hellz yea...I ain't paying for it, I didn't break it :evil:

And I'm not hate'n on the profession, I know there's good & bad with all...just sucks that not everyone respects what value our cars hold to us :-?
