Tires/Wheels advice

Guys and Gals,

What kinda wheels fit on the OEM 16" alloys?
i know the OEMs are 205/60 R16, would 215 or 225 fit?
Any suggestions on tires: i am tilted towards pirelli p7000 or goodyear eagle (or something)

Also, if only 205s fit then i am thinking of getting new set of rims and tires. may be 18X8.. any suggestions for the same with price options.

Hi,
I have a 2000 SLE, everything but sunroof. Just put on Yokohama YK420. I was going to go with something different but a friend suggested these. So far I like them, they stick like glue on corners, very quiet ride. Haven't tried them in the rain or snow but the reviews have been positive. The ride feels nice, excellent traction. I can recommend them and the price ranges from 70-95. Be sure to talk them down on any tire you decide on.

well thats the first thing i did. didnt get anything specific and there were too many unwanted topics that showed up in the result. thot it would be better to ask

hey when i had those 16's...i put on Pierelli P6000's...225/55/16...they were a lil wide but looked mean as hell..and NO not like a mario kart! it dramtically improved my handling and traction as well...(b4 sway bars).

calm down Gmouse... tmi, but for good meaning.

anywho, i'd believe that 225 is a tad too wide and will look out of shape and un-uniform. go with 215's with 55 series tires. that should feel better and will not look too out of shape.

no sweat, i had one eye on solaraguy yesterday and other on work. was busy to have invested more time than normal.

just thot i would be lazy and throw the question out there :drinking:

i guess i wasnt using the right search words in the time that i invested searching.

tons of advice, will go thru and decide.

i think i will settle for 215/55/16.

Bridgestone Turanza LS-H, Grand touring seems to be the best of the lot with lot of amazing reviews and lot of repeat buyers.
its $105 about 15 more than normal, but i guess its worth the price.

Continental ContiExtremeContact seems good too and they are cheap $86!! they are ultra high performance all season.
