as for the bump stop...which part of the suspension is it on? since the shape doesn't seem to fit anywhere on a suspension?
I'd like to try this too, since I'm pulling my engine out to re-seal my leaking differential
the bump stops are between the rear end and the frame of the truck.
the bump was also cut down some so it looks a little different, the stopper is suppost to end at some what a point.
ahhh...now that makes a lot more sense...I guess it's time to start looking for one before I pull my engine out then...
just one more question....so is it pushing against the engine mount at all times then? or did you put a bit of space in between so that it only touches then the engine moves?
thanks!
what i did was i had someone jack up the engine from the oil pan as i was looking at the rear engine mount when i saw the bolt that go's through the mount a 1/4 about the center i stopped, then i measured the distance from the bottom of actual mount and the crossmember. the distance between the rear mount and the subframe
is apox. 1 1/2 to 1 5/8. i did mine at 1 5/8, that should be what the
stopper total height should measure from top to bottom after cutting it down with a grider with 36 grid. The rear mount is sitting on the stopper.
