Need Help Installing HID

Need Help Installing HID

Postby indiglosolara » Wed Jul 30, 2003 10:41 pm

Hey wasup everyone,

I just Recently purchased the Mcculloch HId set up for the 9006 conversion. Now when i install there is one positive and one negative wire to hook up the HID. the Harness it came with needs to be put together it wasn't put together in the box. the only thing is on the actual headlights which one is the positive wire..

There is a Red with Green strip
and white with black strip.

On the HID set.. the white is + and the Black is the - wire. I wanna do this right and not mess up my headlights so

is the red with green strip wire the positive or the white with black strip the positive??

If you have the headlight wiring diagram pleae email me it to me at
Kennyha1981@yahoo.com.

Also my mine is the 9006 for the 2002 solara if you didn't know.
I will be doing install this weekend..
Thanks

Kenny

Congratulations on your HIDs! Were you part of that group buy? I was too and I'm expecting mine to come in today. Anyone in the forums no of the wiring diagram for the Solara headlights? Even for the 99?

Where are you planning on hooking up the balasts?

I'm planning to switch over to a Camry SE v6 by December... but if the deal you found is still around... I may just do it when I secure a job 8)

Huh? I did not need any wiring diagram when installing my HID.
Just common sense.

(If I remember correctly)

There are only three parts, bulb => goes to the housing,
bulb adapter goes to oem adapter and ballast,
from ballast goes to relay and connect the relay to your battery.

On some if the kits the housing thst is suppose to go into the OEM did not come put together becuz its universal, I just wanted the digram so that i can be sure when i put the housings together all neg and pos are in the correct place. plus urs is the h4 mine is the 9006.

diff housing and wire set up..

better safe then sorry

Also i got my new HID kit and have done the install.. very nice... G-Garage really watched my back on this one. I mite be doing some other proto types for them for grounding enhance mements, but i will post on the topic since we have one there.
