2004 Solara Reviewed in Autoweek

Postby widow's son » Thu Jul 31, 2003 8:56 pm

Just received my 4Aug03 issue of Autoweek. On page 21 is a review of the 2004 Solara. Kind of sweet looking, but I am not sure if I will be running to the dealer to trade my 2002 in. I am not sure if the review is online yet.

1st gen solara is so freaking long and wide already....the 2nd gen solara is even longer. Been too big and heavy is what i hate about solara (PS solara is even bigger then 92-98supra).

But i cannot believe its true that solara is chick's car....according to the magazine said 60% of buyers are female

There had been about more then 5 people asked me since the first day i have my car: why you fix up a solara? It is a chick's car!

Since when does 60% make it a chick car?

Look at the VW Beetle. About 90% of the drivers of that thing must be chicks.

Most people got the Solara because they couldn't fit into the Celica... LOL =P

My friend said that the Solara is a chick's car... then 2 weeks later, he went out and got one...

Me too! The new Celicas are just too small for my frame.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Why not buy the vehicle that meets one's need best regardless of which others select it?

Besides, consider the possibilities if your're male, have a Solara, and go to a place where mostly female Solara enthusiasts gather.

One of the reasons I got the Solara was that when I have people in tha backseat I don't want to be right in front of the steering wheel, another reason is that I like the control with a V6 stick , and it don't ride like a boat especially with my tokicos.

P.S. I live in L.A their are alot of guys who drive the Solara, it aint a chick car , thats a Miata :drinking:
