Dats Y-pipe

Dats Y-pipe

Postby Akfahad » Wed Jun 11, 2008 7:38 pm

I've had this on for a little less than a year and I've never had any problems with it. It was a great add on to my performance, but I won't be needing this since I just put on JP's Y-pipe. It bolts right up to the factory headers (the bolts I don't have - u can get at autozone ~$2) and I'll include an extra gasket that I have laying around (you'll need at least 2 more, probably around a $1 a piece). Never seen any snow, just rain and as a result, as with all exhaust tubing, the aluminized coating has started to come off, but that's to be expected. The only thing you will need to do is to have an exhaust shop either make you a catalytic converter with two flanges so it can be bolted up to the y-pipe and your exhaust or if your not worried about emissions, you can have them make you a straight pipe using 2.5" tubing (shouldn't be no more ~$50).

Nice ypipe, im using the same thing.

Let me just say that this ypipe compared to the stock ypipe is an amazing improvement. The dyno charts prove it.

Nice price too!

GL on the sale.

I'm the one who picked up this y-pipe and was actually considering your cat/exhaust for sell. What size/brand cat is that anyways?

The cat is A 2.5 with the same flange as the Y pipe. It is also an OBD2 / EPA compliant Magnaflow high flow cat. It is not the most beautiful piece I have ever done because I was making it for my self but things happened and I ended up with a different exhaust but trust me it will not break or fall apart.
