I bought some LED's off http://autolumination.com/194.htm for the rear license plate lights. I bought the cool white.

Pics coming shortly.

I only bought the 9 LED version, but it should be more than enough.

I am curious though, I bought some 3157 white LED's, but our cars take 7443/7440. I am wondering if I can retrofit them some how.

Looks good! Are these a direct fit or did you modify? What is the exact bulb number if I were to order a set? Thanks in advance.

They're direct fit. It's a 194 bulb if you go to the link in the first post and go down it's the 9 LED SMT Tower II $9.99 each in a cool white. I have them in my car and love them. You have to put them in the right way though because the polarization matters. If they don't light up just pull them out and turn them 180 degrees. Should work perfectly

^LOL yeah... I was gone from the forums for a bit over a month, and when I came back, it even confused me a bit too! At first I thought I got hacked until I actually saw the screen name... Especially considering I was the one who added the Toyota logo and "Get The Feeling" slogan.

Keep an eye out, those LEDs are not made for continuously on applications. I had one blow out after a few months of use.

I've since replaced them with the ones with the heat sink. We'll see if it lasts longer.
