Tein Stech - Good deal?

Tein Stech - Good deal?

Postby FLASH » Wed Aug 06, 2003 10:17 pm

I know most prefer Eibach lowering springs, but whats the word with these Tein Stech springs? I found a seemingly live deal on eBay----> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 2426969195

Tell me what y'all think. its like 155 shipped. Sounds sweet to me, but I don't know the quality of the springs. Thanks.

They have a very nice looking drop and Tein is supposed to be very good quality. At least one guy on here has them look around. :)

tein is probably one of the best springs out there for our platform.. they are supposed to be the premier company in suspension there in Japan... only thing bad about them is that they rust like crazy!(the coilovers do, not springs).. so if your planning to get tein coilover (if they have some).. beware.. but the springs r good...nice staggerd drop.. but if u want more, get intrax!(i love my intrax!)

yeah, im switching over to teins soon. im trying to work out a deal w/ the guy since he's in riverside. reason is because they have a bigger drop in the front, and my back is lower than my front right now because of my sub also.

I have the Tein S-Tech springs and so does Raycarlo. You will not need a camber kit when you use these springs. (-1.6,-1.4) Also you can check my cardomain webpage to see what the drop looks like.

So far I've been very pleased with them! :D

Camber kits are kits that help make camber adjustments easier giving about 2 degrees each way? dont remember... but most of the drops I know of for solaras dont require the kit...

had my alignment about 2 months ago and Wheel works said I didnt need a camber adjustment

Um No. Intrax drops further. Since Flip isn't around, I will direct you to what he told me :).

Hey Peter, let us know how the looks/comfort/handling change when you install your tiens. It does seem that the eibach prokit leaves a noticable gap on the front tires. The drop on the tiens sounds just right.

Tiens drop sounds a lot better than eibach..but for those who have the tiens, how's the ride? Is it really bouncy, or do they feel like eibachs. I've tried intrax springs w/ kyb struts, and they are no where near the comfort of my eibachs. If they feel good, or close to stock, then i'd definatly go for the tiens

The ride with my 18s are very comfortable. Feels like stock with a lot less body roll.

Why don't you wanna use eBay? Trust? I mean 155 shipped is a heck of a deal...
