That's what I'm rocking except for OEM mounts. Nice combo IMO.

silly me forgot to take pics of the strut mounts. but one thing for sure, the KYB bearing is much better made than the toy one.

Once we disassembled everything the bearing became two pieces and a bunch of tiny bearings... the kyb was sealed and very robust in comparison.

If you're gonna do it, do it right!

on a diff note, I will have my se sport spring and shocks for sale soon if anyone is interested.
cheers

It's good your in so cal.
I had the Gr-2 struts on my eclipse and the outside rusted so fast. The silver outside of the struts were poke-a-dotted rust looking due to the salt they put on the roads here. So nasty!

I got my springs from 1sttoyotaparts.com, they were on backorder for a few weeks but was a killer deal.

From the looks of it, the bar has finished settling in, and i have about
a two finger gap. so the claim for trd springs is 1.4F 1.2R but overall
im thinking about 1.75F and 1.5R??

but the drop is perfect, havent bottomed out or scrapped anywhere~
( knock on wood)

There's really no difference between the kyb or OEM mount. It's the bearings that go bad up front, so swapping those out should help to avoid any problems. I would also inspect the rubber insulators if you reuse the OEM mounts.

i agree it looks about the same but the bearing seems much more beefy compared to the oem one. along with that, the rubber seal? between the strut mount and the bearing is thicker and much more figid than the oem one. this might be that its new but comparing the two, the kyb seemed much more rigid and better built
