trunk refurnishing

I am refurnishing the trunk in my 04. We are all proud of the trunk size we have in our coupes compared to that of the competitors, not mentioning any names, accords. I recently took out the spare tire and im looking to make the trunk even bigger. any suggestion on how to upholster the trunk? im thinking about doing a spray-in bedliner thing first to ensure that no water is to ever come in contact with metal, then i will do some woodwork and lay them inside and upholster them with black cloth.

Any input would be appreciated otherwise will post pictures in a month...
