10.5 is super rich... wouldnt the knock sensors be more prone with the car running really lean?

Either way, Id have them pull some more fuel tracy... not bad numbers though man!

wow
so unfortunately DAWGS made the assumption that 10.5 is my AFR
It definately was not
When i called the dyno shop to get the info the guy that tuned my car wasnt there and his helper relayed that info to me
he was looking at the wrong dyno and read me an AFR from a completely different car. My AFR Is 11.8 WOT and 15.4 (?) Partial throttle
Please get the story 100% before posting it on the thread.

his helper didnt even speak english
he was lookin at a tuning map for a 2jz is300 that was there
he says that he can reprint a chart for me with AFR but its 11.8 at WOT
i told him my concern about blowing knock sensors he said ill be fine and he garuntees his tuning as long as i have my car.
thats a big claim to make.

Too rich...you waste some power doing so. 11.5 should be the minimum average to go. However, I know that stock AFR are pretty low too. My guess, why stock AFR are low, are too control exgaust air heat t o satisfied environment laws but aside it there is no good reason to it. The opposite is not better, you would risk to melt fown the engine components by neing too lean. The azote in the air will reach some pretty high temp and make the damage...but we talking of numbers over 15.

Normal AFR with no load (cruising on the highway) 14.7 is the perfect number. I guess with your setup 12.5 would be betrer.

... but ours go to 11.
Gen2 stock was way too rich. Toyota doesn't like paying out warranties on cats so the sacrifice mileage for cool exhaust temps.
