nice improvement in appearence,
but almost impossible to drive on a bumpy road right now

im pushin 225/45/18 wheels right now,
Im planing to put 19" rims , how critical it will affect comfort of the ride?

Why u need 19s, this looks fine.

Why is it impossible to drive on bumps, feel the road more than before? Wheel well rubbing on bumps?

just for the looks :wink:

but for everyday drive.....you feel every bumps and there's no comfort ride too bumpy!!.........and beware of pot holes, it will damage your rims big time and plus the tires are so expensive to replace.

Yeah 19" with a drop and a TRD RSB will really make you feel the road and all the potholes. It's just the way it is. You can go with a slightly thicker tire if you check your clearences properly and make sure you account for the difference in the spedo.

Go for 19's!!! 18's are too small for a car this wide and "bulky"...sure you'll sacrifice gas mileage, speed and maybe handling but this car is not a sportscar...19's all the way!!!!!!

How did you lower it? Springs? Coilovers?

Lowering will give you a totally different ride feel - no more "Cadillac" ride from the OEM SLE struts! My wife complains about how bumpy my car rides all the time, but tough sh!t - it ain't goin' back to stock as long as I'm driving it!

If you go with 19s and a smaller sidewall tire, of course you're going to feel the road much more than you do now.

Looks great. You'll get used to the ride. It's really not that bad. Don't forget to get your alignment done if you haven't aready.

I was running 235/45R18's on mine which gave me a little more width and sidewall. Perhaps that is why I liked the ride so much. It also finished filling up the wheel well in front and closed it up a little in the rear.

You can see the difference with mine here: I was also using TRD springs.

Usually when you lower, you get negative camber. (Maybe 1-1.5 degrees) It's enough to cause the inside treads to wear faster then the rest of the tire.

The dealer had a 4 wheel alignment done after the car was lowered. (I bought the car new with TRD springs as part of the purchase price.)
