I am planning to get one within the next 6mo. They look really nice, but they're alot of bread for a student to save up.

I read an article in a Japanese magazine that stated that Toyota had a bunch of engines lined up for sports tuning by Yamaha: No engine codes provided, but I'm sure we can guess... sort of...

i-4 2.4 L (2AZ-FE for sure... listed at 250 ps (I think PS = HP))
V6 2.5 L (I have no clue... old Supra engine? wasn't that 2.5?)
V6 3.0 L (It's the 1MZ, again?...)
V6 3.5 L (This one seems entirely new)
V6 4.0 L (That's one HUGE V6!!)
V8 5.0 L (4.3 L Lexus bored out to 5.0 L)
V10 5.0 L (The engine being developed by the Toyota Euro team that does the F1)

The 2AZ will be dropped in the replacement "AE86" style car. It's not a Corolla, it's a totally new car. (Dumb Anime Initial D possibly helped bring it back... lol)

I only had an excerpt of the article though... I wish I knew which magazine it was from =\

This was the 1JZ engine that was not released in the united states. In the MKIII american supras they had the 7M-GE and 7M-GTE. My friend is currently swapping in a right wheel right 1JZ-GTTE setup into his MKIII.

Wasn't this the engine that was rumored to be going into the new IS300 and the new supra if it ever happens?

I have a scan of the article... it gets really fuzzy and hard to read in the engine list part... I'm trying to translate it ... but the print is really bad... I'm looking for the actual mag so I can read it.

Yes, the 2000 is a 5S-FE. Tell us how the install goes man. I am confident after reading about RIPP that the parts will be top notch, but I am curios how hard the install is.
