Greddy Evo II Mounting hardware?

Greddy Evo II Mounting hardware?

Postby LatinDragonXJC » Sun Aug 17, 2008 7:48 am

Just got my first Evo II exhaust but no mounting hardware.

There was one really rusted gasket (I need 2 of them I believe).

I went to some part stores around my area, and no one had them.

For the Evo II owners out there:

1. What exactly should I get to make sure it is properly mounted and sealed?

2. Other then my local parts stores (Pep Boys, Autozone *sucks!*, etc..), where else could I get these parts?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I think greddy has the gaskets available on their website. You will need four bolts, four nuts, a gasket for the cat (got mine from toyota) and a gasket for in between the mid pipe and the muffler. Just those couple things and youre good to go!

Thanks! Do you know which is the right size? I know it's 2 bolt.

60mm (2.36") / 2 Bolt Flange 11000301 $5.00
70mm (2.76") / 2 Bolt Flange 11000302 $8.00

From searching I'm guessing it is these two.

I got some bolts and nuts from Ace Hardware that were 19mm i think.
I also got some washers to match the size of the bolts and nuts.
I have one gasket from my Y-pipe to my mid-pipe, my other gasket rusted all the way through....
You really don't need any gaskets from the mid-pipe to the axle back section.
As long as you have the bolts and nuts tighten good you'll be fine.

Thanks Sleeper, you remember what size the gaskets were? I'm afraid to run without gaskets.

Fel pro 60674 or 60679 or 60496-1 one or all of those should work just fine.

Just to give you an idea they are all the same bolt pattern and they go from smallest to largest 60674, 60496-1 then 60679 and they can all be found at autozone, pepboys or advance auto parts.

damn thanks Midas! I wish I would of known this before I headed out. I just got back from touring all my parts stores. They looked at me like I just asked them what motor oil taste like. I even had the old one to compare, no one could help. I'll try again tomorrow after work with these parts numbers.

Do you know the measurements?
I mocked the rusty old one to both ends and one is bigger then the other.

I think i bought some 80mm sized gaskets.
Then i just somewhat chopped the gaskets down alittle bit on the outside edge alittle bit for it to fit.

The 60679 and 60496-1 are ~ 2.5 inch in the inside but the 60679 has wider set holes. The 60674 is slightly less I would say between 2.25 and 2.5. I know for a fact the 60496-1 and 60674 both fit a stock manifold flange which I think is the same as the factory cat flange. All three are catalytic converter gaskets and are meant for a nice exhaust application. Finally the 60674 and 60496-1 should be about 4 or 5 dollars and I think the 60679 runs about $10. I wish I had an extra to measure but they are all in my car right now on my new stainless custom exhaust.

If need be you can use a unibit and widen the holes a little to fit the bolts.

YES THANK YOU! .....helped alot when the auto parts helped none. I'm getting everything installed on Saturday. Only thing left is the bolts/nuts.

I told my brother I was going to buy bolts from the hardware store, and he warned me against it. He said the bolts are of different grade. That the heat will cause hardware store bolts to become brittle with time and snap. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Is there a certain length/girth/type/combo? Do I need washers?

Sorry for all the questions, I like to be precise. :D

I usually get m10 x 1.25 x 30 or 35mm automotive stainless bolts form autozone or who ever. I have never had a need for washers.

So what type of gasket did you end up using.

just dont use nuts with nylon centers because the heat will melt them. Otherwise, I think youll be fine.

What I saw at the parts store was the OEM exhaust bolts, but couldn't find the one for the Solara.

I ended up buying the 60679 and 60496-1. I've yet to mock it up to the actual tubes, since I have that waiting for me at my mother's house. But I mocked the 60496-1 to the rusted leftover flange and it was just a lil bigger but all three holes matched up.

On Saturday I'll let you guys know of the results.
