So i just got the stock struts and springs taken off...wow taking interrior to get to the rear strut mounts is a...task to say the least.

So i got on Tokico blues and trd springs (rebadged eibachs).

I read on here that most find that the front is higher than the rear with this setup, but i guess for me its the opposite since i got these off a camry (javajoe's)..so in the end after the drop, i have about 1.5" of wheel gap in the front and about 2" in the rear...

to say the least, i love how it handles and drives now, so much more fun, i thought the ride was gonna be retarded with the stiffer struts (tokicos) but its real nice.

I originally thought my front struts were good and only my rear ones were dead, but after adam took out the struts, ALL FOUR of the ones ive been riding on were garbage! lol.

anyway, ill post pics up soom, thanx go to ASG14 and javajoe for the hookup.

Cool man, post some pics of her.

The Tokiko blues arent much stiffer than stock...they're more or less a factory replacement strut.

tokicos are for sure stiffer than KYBs, but nothing like coilovers in my experience. Glad you got it dropped vik, very nice...

I have the interior down to 15 minutes in and out to adjust my rear coilovers  give me a 10, 12,14, and a phillips!

I wonder if the size of your rims have something to do with the wheel gap because I have zero gap with TRD springs and KYB struts. In any event, congrats on making the switch!

Stiffer than what? Stiffer than stock or Sport stocks (Gen2 sport SE has stiffer shocks than my SE)?

Not to thread jack but two basic noob questions.

Bronze - when you pop the seats out is it an alternate way to reach the speakers in the speaker deck...?

Super noob question, when people say stiff does that mean worse ride or what advantages/disadvantages are we talking about...?

Dawgs - Hope you dont consider this a threadjack /// good job on lowering how long did it take you..?

Stiff as in you could feel the road more, if that makes any sense to you. Going over bumps, holes, and small rocks in the road would become more of fear in your everyday driving.

But that's in extreme cases, with tokicos blues it's not bad at all, just a SLIGHT discomfort but nothing to loose sleep over.

Dawgz, how long did it all take you to do? If it's worth anything to you, I'm 1.5" fronts and 1" rears. 2az-fe and stock SE alloys though.

Nope, you have to pull pretty much everything from the front doors back as far as I know.

^^^^ Or you can just leave the rear seats in with no rear interior panals as an option. It won't look pretty but its an alternative. :o

The rear bottom seat has to come out, the rear back seats stay in place, the two top plastic pieces come off after taking the seat belt and the rear passenger "oh crap bars" come off as well as the two coat hangers....then u remove the speaker deck and then finally undo the three seat belts in the back and that plastic piece will come off..then u can access the strut mounts.

95% of the strut replacement and wat not was done by ASG14, im on crutches rite now lol so all i did was take the interrior apart and other minor things.

but he's fast...he pretty much had everything done in 2.5 hours...everything was just dandy till the front passenger side strut mount's bolt sheered off while fastening one of the bolts...KYB strut mounts are garbage...

so yea, if we had good strut mounts from the begining...2.5 hours is reasonable time.
