Saturday Nov. 1st, 2008 - Fall Columbus, Ohio meet

Postby Down2TheC » Wed Oct 15, 2008 12:54 am

Well it's looking like I'll be set up in Grove City, OH with 10 to 13 gallons of beer. Still locking down the hotel and the meeting room for the LAN. So where is this shrinking crowd gathering?

If there's nothing set, Grove city is SW of the city within 15 min. of downtown or airport. Right where 71 and 270 meet. Might be a handy rally point even if there are plans to proceed elsewhere.

If not, I'll roll out to wherever the crowd is. Might even be able to slap a keg in the trunk for the ride.

Mike, no running the tap up to the cup holder in the console.

Although you'd have my vote for the coolest car mod EVER!

I saw this and had to slap my head. You guys are only 8 hours away from me. If I was not having a party that night I would totally come up for the day.

Cool, how about rally at the keg, then cruise over to your sports bar. Some of the LAN buds might tag along. So what's a good time to show up at that place? We can work backwards from that.

The Path from La Qinta to Martino's (If that's what we're doing.)

If there's a better idea for an activity, post it up. Haven't noticed a lot of ideas. Locals chime in. And we need to discus rally time. I'm there starting Friday so I'm open. Gotta do dinner with some other folks but that's my only commitment.

I can only make it down that whole day Saturday. Friday would be impossible for me to make it to Columbus at all. I'm all for rallying at the keg first! :D You name the time.

If anyone can't make it to Downy's hotel or Martino's (or gets lost) we'll just roadtrip-it to where they're at (anybody who want's my cell # PM me!). I was hoping we would have a towny involved because all I know about Columbus is Martino's and the Gold (strip)Club (I know--for an Ohioian that's sad that I know of only those 2 places in my state capitol.)--and it would be great if somebody knew other places to go. Martino's get's busy from ~7pm to 11pm but it is open til 2:30am, so we could get there before, during or after peak crowd. But no matter what the crowd, it is never jam packed shoulder to shoulder so waiting to get served is not an issue, even on Ohio State game nights. I just read realized they have one frikken long happy hour everyday, hmm...I guess that's the reason people drink like fishes at 10:45 and stagger out at 11.
