Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

What's wrong?

I read reviews on the stock tires (RE 92 Potenza) and it says that they have a habit of drifting right while accel. or braking but it almost straight during continuous non accel/slowing drives (cruise control I guess...)

I've had that problem for a while... but I'm already over 20k =\ no warranty work for me =X

I guess I'll just have to get better tires soon while I get the alignment...

The tires are like that. It's not a recall or anything... but the alignment still plays a role in it... It shouldn't pull too badly though

i think a lot of the problem rests with the potenzas...when i changed my stock re92's they were heavily worn on one side of the car....also if you guys lower your car...it will need a camber correction...after my car was dropped..my camber and alignment was messed up..so i had my camber correcetd and alignmenet fixed..after that i didn't have any more problems with tire wear. i woud suggest getting rid of the re92's as soon as you can they are expensive and aren't that great for handling...yokohama makes a great avid H4/v4 tire that is really good...kumho also makes a great tire for a z-rated...and i just got dunlop sp sports a few months back they're pretty good...all of these are better in my opinon then the re92's and all are cheaper.....so....

I looked for carlos but he wasnt here. so oscar helped me out.. he was saying that its normal for the car to pull right.(im not freaking stupid!). and all this bs.. then he said that i cant get the alignment for free cus my car passed 12k, but i told him carlos said he will do it for me.. and.. then he was like oh ok... pull ur car in..and u got it done... with no charge :) still bad service..

p.s i saw the new solara.. its pretty big looking.. but the interior is nice

My '02 is doing something pretty similar.

It must have happened somewhat gradually, but I finally figured out what was feeling "wrong"

I have to turn the wheel a full 180degrees to make a 90 degree turn. I don't know if that's considered normal? But here's a demonstration of my arms when making a turn: &

It also burns through tires very quickly. I'm on my 3rd set after 40k miles total on the car since it was new. I've had the alignment fixed twice. Both times the toe was off one way or another.
