I don't know if it will make you feel better but I had a slight bumper rub with a crazy driver who ran a red light and crossed my path 1 month after purchasing the car. I never expected that, so soon...so 93k miles is probably a record for the Insurance too...

Since your car was never backed into prior to last weak, and prior to last week your wife had never experienced chicken pox, it is evident that the chicken pox caused this. I could be wrong.

But sorry to hear about the damaged door man. :x

I think this conclusion is the most logical. Never trust a person who has chicken pox. :drinking:

Damn you guys must be pu$$y whipped. I'm not one to yell much but if my girlfriend crashes my car she's gonna hear me bitch. Actually some time ago my ex girlfriend totaled my solara, lets just say that was one of the main reasons why she is now history lol. Good thing insurance paid for it though and a good lesson was learned...DON'T LEND YOUR CAR!!!!!!

AMEN!!! I will never ever ever ever let ANYBODY drive my Lara. Mom, dad, brother, friend, girlfriend, wife, f*ckbuddy it doesn't matter who they aint driving it. I do all my own maintenance. I dont trust anyone with my baby. If I do end up having to take her somewhere to get some work done. I'm standing as close as possible to her. Making sure someone doesn't leave the property with her. I can't imagine leaving my car with just anyone. The movie Ferris Buler's Day Off ruined any chance of me leaving any car with anyone.

Sorry to hear about your car bro!

Heh heh heh... 8)

Good catch! My oldest boy, Lief kicked his SOCCER ball RIGHT THROUGH the one glass pane this past fall (OOOOLD tempered glass... and it EXPLODED all the way to the back of the garage! Took WEEKS to pick up residuals... and STILL find a shard here and there!)

I am planning to tear this "shack" down this spring and build on to our house, so I just PATCHED it for now!

The box is from my SUPER DRAGGER exhaust system on the MKIII... although I DO have the HKS FMIC on the car from over a dozen years ago...

HKS FTW!

^^^ There's the mounted plumbing... (...I know! The rear pig seal was leaking... but we fixed it while we were under there!)

^^^ Yup... pretty big tip, but it's not just a "fart-can" on a stir-stik straw pipe. It's actually PROPORTIONATE to the pipe from downpipe back.

...anyway... enough of the HKS!

WAAAAAHHHHHH-HOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I took the 'lara in on MONDAY... (THIS WEEK!!!) ...and they called mid-day today and it's DONE!!! :o

I am HOPING to pick it up EARLY and make it to a critical 10:00am meeting (several company presidents, etc... and an array of engineers and designers. HATE to miss THAT one!)

...we are scheduled to have 2~4" tomorrow... but it shouldn't start until NOON.

I don't know that I could get it HOME (BAD country drive!) if a good snowfall comes in the day! (Wouldn't WANT to TRY right after the repair, anyway!)

Of COURSE, you will get a "quality of work" and "final condition" report WITH photos when I can! (MIGHT be buried in SNOW though!)

SpeedySolara, Crisp didn't say his girlfriend did it, he said his WIFE did it, that's two seperate things. And let's suppose you did have a wife, i'm not sure you would be saying the same thing. I'm sure you wouldn't divorce your wife the same way you broke up with your gf if the car had an accident.

LEE37, so when you're out and drunk, and you need someone to drive your car home, who drives? It seems to be funny how you put your car above your
Mom, dad, brother, friend, girlfriend, wife

that last picture really does your guy jim justice. so does the fourth pic from the top.

my method for picking out dings and dents and misaligned panels is to look at the quality of the reflection against the panel in question.

in that last picture, you can see it reflecting a smooth image of whatever is to the right of the camera (your house?). in the fourth from the top, you can see that the paint is smooth, and the panels are evenly spaced.

nice job
