Actually some time ago my ex girlfriend totaled my solara, lets just say that was one of the main reasons why she is now history lol. Good thing insurance paid for it though and a good lesson was learned...DON'T LEND YOUR CAR!!!!!!

AMEN!!! I will never ever ever ever let ANYBODY drive my Lara. Mom, dad, brother, friend, girlfriend, wife, f*ckbuddy it doesn't matter who they aint driving it. I do all my own maintenance. I dont trust anyone with my baby. If I do end up having to take her somewhere to get some work done. I'm standing as close as possible to her. Making sure someone doesn't leave the property with her. I can't imagine leaving my car with just anyone. The movie Ferris Buler's Day Off ruined any chance of me leaving any car with anyone.

Sorry to hear about your car bro!

SpeedySolara, Crisp didn't say his girlfriend did it, he said his WIFE did it, that's two seperate things. And let's suppose you did have a wife, i'm not sure you would be saying the same thing. I'm sure you wouldn't divorce your wife the same way you broke up with your gf if the car had an accident.

LEE37, so when you're out and drunk, and you need someone to drive your car home, who drives? It seems to be funny how you put your car above your
Mom, dad, brother, friend, girlfriend, wife
.

When I'm out and about in my car I don't get drunk. Maybe a little buzzed but never drunk. I know it's still a bad idea to drive buzzed but I do it anyway. Now if I'm at a friends house, or ex-girlfriends house and I'm drunk then I'm not driving at all.

I don't put my car above my Mom, Dad or brother. If my family needs something in a life or death situation that required driving my car, then yes I would let them drive it. As for friends, ex-girlfriends, or ex-wife hell no they will never ever drive my car. I've had horrible experiences with all three.

my method for picking out dings and dents and misaligned panels is to look at the quality of the reflection against the panel in question.

in that last picture, you can see it reflecting a smooth image of whatever is to the right of the camera (your house?). in the fourth from the top, you can see that the paint is smooth, and the panels are evenly spaced.

nice job

Thanks! I agree!

I shot the pics immediately after picking it up at 8:00am this morning before I went in to work. It was lousy lighting and location to shoot, but I couldn't run by the reservoir or anything under my time constraints! :-?

To your point, I did my best to get some reflective angles for that purpose... although I'd like to place a REALLY NICE panoramic image in the reflection... and give it better symmetry for the effect! 8)

The paint was blended to a SEAM in each direction, to the bumper/hood on front quarter, roof-line seam and rear bumper in the rear quarter. Jim doesn't skimp... but he has to WORK the agency (insurance) to milk the cost of doing it "by the book" like this.

This fix was about $1500 for the dents pictured on p. 1, but my deductible after "good record" and "gold premium" discounts made it a $300 out of pocket, and I'm SHORTING my wife about $200 from the "usual arrangement" we have where I give her chunks of cash for bills.! 8)
