LOL!! From what I've heard they aren't at all interested. My experience with trying to get GBs and new products developed and to market for a crowd of about 4-5 people is that it will never, ever happen, unless you pay a LOT of $$ for a custom job. :(

You will never be sorry you got the CPE. You will be sorry if you get the injen and then later go to CPE. For the V6.

I'm a bit biased, but my vote goes to cp-e over anything else available for the solara. I still regret selling mine, but I guess the SAFC2 won in my case. Nothing beats a fat tube in the engine bay...

Also, get some lead solder and practice on some extra wire. It doesn't take long to get used to, and you'll thank yourself afterward.

man solderin sounds hella complicated but i'd MUCH rather secure it on than to make a gamble and risk my car completely stalling like Midias before. for someone who has minimal mechanical experience and no soldering experience.. how long do you think it'll take me to install the cp-e?
l CP-e Intake l TRD Lowered/Exhaust/RSB l 20/5 Tints l Custom Grille l Alpine HU l Rocksford Amp l 2 10" JBL Subs l 6000k HID l Smoked 2.5 Tails l Satisfied Driver l

I would say 4 hours conservatively.

I would rather assume the "worst" relative your inherent aptitude for such tasks... then add a "multiplier" that is derived from a NUMBER of opportunities to go "wrong" and the probability that you will hit a few snags... all of which, can be overcome... and you pan out at anywhere from 3 hours (BEST case if you are "hedging" a little about your skills...) to 3 days. (WORST case assuming you tap us for help and the communication creates downtime.)

Honestly, the soldering is certainly not the toughest (highest risk) part, and the rest of the install is "minimal-to-moderate" with SOME basic need at literacy and instruction following ability.

I'd give it a 1 out of 4 (4 being MOST difficult) project rating. Go for it!

WELL WORTH THE EFFORT and MINIMAL risk.

1) Bare the wires to be joined

2) Twist them together

3) Touch the twisted wires with the iron (already HOT)
(Letting the iron rest against them for a few moments to transfer heat)

4) Touch some solder wire to the heated, twisted wires that are HOT, while all the while keeping some iron contact to the wires...
(The solder will "MELT" and flow into and around the hot wires)

5) Draw the iron and solder away from the wire, which will harden solid almost instantly as it cools...

You just soldered!
