From someone who just installed the CP-e this Sunday.. I don't feel like it has very much sound. I gotta go into the higher RPMs to hear it. Supposedly (from what the other guys on SG have been telling me) the Injen SRI is just a noisemaker though. I can def feel a difference in terms of power with the CP-e.. just wish it had a little more sound..

^ intakes usually get louder when u hit higher rpms. other than that, it should be quite.

its when u hit the gas aggressively u hear it growl.

^^^ ???

Honestly, that statement BLOWS ME AWAY!!!

All I can say is... you ain't usin' it right, son!

The CP-e absolutely HOWLS when "on the honk" (full-throttle acceleration). INTAKES do NOT increase overall "tone" or "volume" of vehicle sound at idle or low load... not much, anyway... EXHAUSTS can and will do so, even at idle. The CP-e is an incredible increase in db over the stock multi-box mouth-muffler intake of the stock system, and the afe filter adds a slightly raspy buzz that raises the pitch. With a larger filter, i.e.: CRISPMONGO filter, it is still louder, but deeper, too.

PUNCH IT and PIN IT until the crapmission decides to shift, with NO LIFT on the throttle a few times... then, can you honestly say it's not that much difference from stock??? I can't imagine that!

...hmmm... maybe I just drive harder than other people...?

haha yeah that's what i'm saying. higher rpms before you can hear the 'howl'. again.. i can hella feel the difference between the cp-e and the stock (my first time opening it up since I bought the car a month ago, and i found leaves and pieces of paper and stuff like that inside the box). Maybe its because the solara does such a damn good job of blocking outside noise. Either way, I don't mind pushing my car harder, and it's just as well since I didn't want my car to sound like a ricer anyway. No complaints on my end. :)
