I had a amp catch on fire because I was running 2 phosgate 12's off it but the amp were hooked up isobaricly and the amp was bridged so it was running at .5 ohms. But that was a autoteck amp, phosgate should be stable as low as .5 How much power are you running in your system?
your wires could be too small or you could just be blowing fuses because they are too small.

The ONLY Rockford Fosgate amp that was 0.5-ohm stable was the old waffle style, 50m!!! Unfortunately, once RF made its way to BB, their quality hasn't been as reliable as before. RF amps never had built-in fuses as extra protection, so thus, check to make sure your power cable isn't touching metal anywhere.

I had a friend running fosgate amps, she had alot of trouble also. she blew 3 fuses in less then 3 months of install and blew the amp 6 months later. She installed them with all the correct wire 4ga, and 4ga ground. then she switched to a crossfire amp and haven't had a problem since. alot of the newer even 1yr old amp were made with such poor quality.

I would probably go with a diff amp, jbl's are good amps, Phoenix gold, kicker and etc.

Do a search i was sure there was a talk about amps in the earlier months.
