Rear tail Light Faliure

Rear tail Light Faliure

Postby Missay » Thu Sep 11, 2003 3:06 pm

Well, as I was driving today my "Rear light failure warning light" came on..and low and behold, my right, rear brake light is out.

I'm just going to swing by lappens tomorrow when I get outta class and just change it in my driveway...but I wanna make sure I know what I'm doing. I can change my headlights/turn signals in 5seconds..but for some reason, rear tail-lights scare me

The owners manual seems pretty straight foward, but I want to make sure I have the right bulb. the book says "double ended blub..#3157/27"...whatever that means..lol. If i go into lappens and tell them they type of veh, they can find the right light...right? I feel like such a girl lol

yep. missay 3157's will fit just right. and dun' worry...all you have to do is remove your trunk panels and behind it you'll see your bulb housing. just twist and remove, then replace. girls can do it too! *smack* just kiddin'...

sometimes the bulbs are in there tight...when i changed mine...i had to give it a hard twist in the right direction...and that loosened it up...once you do it for the first time..it will be loose for future changes....

haha..thanks guys.

I called my dad after trying to get it out for a good 15mins. He came over and after a minute or so of grunting and whispering some profanities under his breath, I knew he had it out when I hear.."You are such an idiot, Melissa"

I loosened it for him ;)
