Spray painted my grill

Spray painted my grill

Postby sarki » Sun Mar 01, 2009 12:25 am

So i was sitting around at home and thought to myself, I should clean my garage. Well as soon as i started to organize, my eye caught a brand new can of Krylon spray paint sittin on my shelf. It was gloss black and the only thing i could think of was painting my grill. After wet sanding with dish soap and light even coats, Heres my results. Tell me how it looks.

looks damn good. IMO it'd look better with the emblem painted... Be sure to give it a few coats of clear coat or it will chip like crazy

I thought the size was too big or something. Next week im getting lowering springs, HID kit from Halo and new struts i think KYB's. I'll post pics after the intall.

Before you spray your grill, Make sure you give it a goooooood scrub with a dish soap to get rid of the oils or else its going to bubble and get spots where the paint wont stay on. Use the blue painters tape on the chrome its easy to remove after painting. Good luck and post pics.

No i didnt have any on hand. It would have prob been better but ow well. I still need to spray on some clear on top to help preserve the paint. I'll do that some time during the week.
