Exhaust setup options
I read previous posts about dual exhaust and the general consensus is that it causes a loss of HP and torque and is just for looks.
Perfect. I don't race my car, I just want to look and sound good, so a few HP loss wouldn't be a big deal to me. I want to, however, sound good, so I want to do a dual TRD Muffler Exhaust. What my plan is, to get 3" piping starting immediately after the cat, remove the resonator, and then have the shop set up a dual muffler setup. I'd leave the current TRD Muffler in place, and have them chop off the part that bends to the left and just weld it whats left onto the piping straight after the cat.
This may sound crazy, some may think ricey, but I do like the sound of the TRD Muffler, its just not loud enough for me, so I figured two of em, and no resonator should help, and it would look a heck of a lot better I thihnk. I plan on shopping around for places to do this and find a price somewheres around 300, probably more because there would be a lot of cutting and welding necessary.
If the dual is too much, I'll probaby just have a shop do the three inch piping with no resonator and hope that sounds louder...
