Anyone have the problem of getting shocked from your car? Lets just say about 90% of the time I get out of my car and close the door... the moment I touch my door, I get shocked! I even try it at nyte and I see the damm spark!! :o
I even got shocked from my windows!!! My Solaras tinted so I think that explains it...

I think the overall reasoning is cuz of my seat covers, but any way to reduce/eliminate this without removing my covers?

I saw this up on ebay:

but heck no I aint putting that on my Solara!!!

have you grounded anything for power in those areas that keep shocking you. If so try relocating that ground and see if that works. If not then I really dont know. :drinking:

yea dude, i have that problem most often, and I don't have electrical mods/wiring done. Do you have cloth seats? I think thats the problem. When I wear fleece on my cloth seats, Im guaranteed to get shocked.

I agree. I think it is the seat covers/cloth seats. I have leather seats in my car and I never get shocked. Whenever I rent a car that has cloth seats, I have that problem. I would recommend some nice Sparco racing seats! 8) -JoeB

I used to have that problem a lot in Wisconsin (not soo much here in Texas).; I usually have both my feel on the ground ..and touch the PALM of my hand to the body of my car...that i think eliminates any chance of static buildup (a good advise if your fueling)...not nice to spark while fueling...
