Help!-need side skirts

Help!-need side skirts

Postby Astro » Mon Sep 22, 2003 5:44 pm

I have my car in the shop and the BW side skirts I ordered with Ground Dynamics doesn't work. :x The body shop guys are telling me that if they cut it it wouldn't line up correctly or even look right. They think it isn't the right one for my car. I know it needs some mods, but it can't be that much. They said if they did install it would be a lot of money, so it wouldn't be worth it. The front and rear are on, but I need some side skirts. They were thinking that I should get the TRD skirts. Would MollyDesigns be the only company to get it? Or, should I try the sides from importfan.com or extremedimensions.com? I believe that Danny's car is shown (at extreme). If anyone knows any info please let me know. My car is on hold until I come up with some side skirts.:(
Thanks...

I had the same problem with my side skirts when I went to install them and they were too short. So I had to cut them and glass some more in for length. Its a small price to pay but worth it in the end. Good luck 8)

I think I will go for the ED type spyder side skirts. They look like they fit nice without much mods. Anyone know anything about these?
Thanks

larry,

where did you see those ED type spyder skirts??? i bought the BW kit as soon as i bought my car, but 1 year and some odd months later and the kit is still sitting at home!!! refabrication of the skirts was quoted to me at $1400 TOTAL. just. for.the skirts. :o

those are the right skirts though, i argued with the company i bought them from and they said that they are the correct fit. BS. it's the right length, but it's dimensions won't allow it to look right.

Hey Larry, there is a shop in Van Nuys called AAAutobody (818) 786-8734, this guy might be able to help you out with the VIS octane SKIRTS... give them a call, hopefully they give you a hand......

Wow, that sounds good. But, my car is in the shop with the front and rear bumpers already test fitted. I just need to get the side skirts so they can paint. Thanks...

Thanks for the info, but I went to a shop in Thousand Oaks called Relaxed Customs. I was a little uncertain about taking my car to them, but after seeing some of his work I thought I'd give them a shot. He's a perfectionist, which is a good thing, but sometimes it could be bad for your wallet.
